Jim's Bio

Jim

Born in 1951, Jim was raised and has always lived in the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. Jim completed his BA in Landscape Architecture at the University of Minnesota. He received a call to ministry in 1973 and served as a youth pastor and worship leader, helping with the early years of New Testament Church in Eden Prairie, MN. He developed apostolic and teaching ministries, which extended to other newly planted regional and national churches and missions abroad as well. He also served as senior leader of New Testament Church (now City Hill Fellowship) from 1987 – 2007. Jim has planted a number of churches in the Upper-Midwest region where he now oversees 30+ churches, as the leader of TrueBridge Family of Churches (www.truebridge.org.) The mission of TrueBridge is “Building Healthy and Effective Churches to the Glory of God.” TrueBridge seeks to get things done through the strong relational connections that exist within the family of churches. Jim travels among these churches, bringing encouragement and wisdom to pastors, fulfilling a calling to be a "pastor to pastors." He also ministers at international, national, and regional conferences for Christian leaders. He provides ministry training for those requesting mentoring in leadership, using a systematic personalized program he developed for this purpose. Jim has been a volunteer Chaplain for the Eden Prairie Police and Fire Department for the past 20 years. He along with other clergy from Eden Prairie churches routinely assist police officers in situations involving trauma and tragedy. He is a passionate hunter, fisherman and golfer, and enjoys anytime he can get away into the wilderness of Northern Minnesota. He is married to Mary, wife of 41 years. Jim and Mary have four children and five grandchildren, and reside in Jordan, MN.
