Charley's Bio

Charley

Born and raised in Chicagoland, ﷯Indiana, I grew up watching my parents participate in music, bible studies, and the finance council of our church. I was in third grade when God reached out to me through a radio show that featured people who'd hit rock bottom before being reunited with God. I decided I didn't want to learn the hard way and confessed to God my need of salvation, telling him 'I'm with you!' God began to make my faith my own throughout the remainder of my school years, helping me to study his word and spend time with him rather than simply ride the coattails of my parents' faith. After completing college, armed with an engineering degree, a sense of adventure, and the Full Armor of God, I drove from Indiana to Mukilteo, Washington to begin my career at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. I followed my parents' examples by getting involved in a local church here, first by helping lead the youth group, then in music ministry, and then on the church council. I married my high school crush (and fellow trombone player) Sonya on September 5th, 2009 after a 2-year long-distance relationship, and we met the Sauls while working together with the youth group at church. Jericho Bridge Church was about a year old when God called us to join in September 2014, and we've been serving with this church ever since, along with our 3 active kids. I love seeing where God takes me, confident that he who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
